The past few weeks in our government

So these guys have been doing some good lately, they introduced bills to congress that.

A) Protect medical marijuana parients, caregivers, and third party suppliers under federal law.
That is a huge step foward and is much needed to close some legal mixups.

B) Give dispensaries and other small businesses at that access to banking.
No longer do they have to accept only cash. No longer do they have tens of thousands of dollars on hand making them a target for robberies.

C) Lets medical marijuana businesses take tax deductions.
If they're going to pay all their taxes, then they get to have the same deductions other businesses do. And if they dont pay all their taxes, then the IRS comes in and shuts them down while the DEA laughs.

Every once in a while congress lets something good through. Now they just have to vote on it, you might want to call your congressman.

My home state

California we now have over one million medical marijuana patients. Now thats just an estimate because here in california we dont register with the state to get the recomendation. The recomendation itself is all we need to be a medical marijana patient. The state literally has no information on who has a medical marijuana card exept for those who bought a state issued id, which only about 12000 people did last year. Its a very liberal system and it works very well. The best part is its all backed up by califrornia senate bill 420. This bit of legeslation ensures our right to medicate under the tenth amendment of the us constitution. Thats some serious stuff right there. So serious that if one unlucky soul were to be arrested for cultivating their own medicine by the legal limits and charged federally, he could take it to the supreme court and would win every time. This is because the federal government has no constitutional authority in the matters of medicine, thats a state right. You really have to love that constitution.
happy medicating

Congrats Vermont!

Patients in Vermont just got the right to buy their meds from a dispensary. This means no more drug dealers and risky grows for the good people trying to medicate. They've had the right to medicate for about seven years now and havent had one legal dispensary. In a time where states have the foresight to recognize marijuana as a medicine, we cant leave the patients out to dry like that. Congrats Vermont I hope you get some compassionate care.
